Passenger Transport Markets

Over the past 15 years, passenger service markets have been undergoing fast digital transformation. Of all the markets, aviation has predominantly seen a disciplined and well structured digitization effort. The other markets have been exposed to more fragmented and chaotic transformation which has lead to the need for significant investment to synchronize inventories across various operators. Due to high cost involved in developing the software and the effort of continued digitization, a few companies have so far engaged in consolidation of various inventories within the same industries (approximately 1 aggregator per 1,000 travel agencies).
The consolidators are usually able to resolve only the initial challenge for the end consumer - collect as many operator trips from the same mode of transport and provide a search feature for that mode of transport alone.
Multiple operator Information Systems (IS) and too few Inventory Distribution Systems IDS have appeared in the market. However, the number of ground transportation carriers significantly exceeds the number of airlines, and the overall ground transportation market is significantly larger than the aviation market.

Therefore, "train + bus" multimodal connectivity, which we are currently focusing on, appears to us to be the most promising from the investment perspective. It is forecasted that the global compound annual growth rate the (CAGR) in 2020-2025 will reach an astounding 21.8%, which will result in the forecasted market size of $1,4T globally.
